Skulptur i Pilane

Our next stop on this cultural weekend was "Sculptur i Pilane" on the island of Tjörn.  We were quite surprised by what we found.  A sculpture exhibition of world class.  A "red-cross" rabbit which lost its glasses, lilies made of glass, a giant trapped in his jersey, a woman balancing in the sky, and sheep grazing around old rock walls.  The sculptures are replaced by different and new ones every year.  Pilane´s setting made me think of Ireland -  I´ve never been there, but the sheep, rock walls and grass hills looked like the picturesque Irish countryside.  Following the "sculpture route" you walk over logs, small puddles, through "man made trees" and real ones.  Ending up on top of a hill overlooking the West coast archipelago.
